Gateway plans
Gateway plans give you instant access to a large set of AI models without creating or managing API keys. Your subscription includes an inference budget that renews each billing period; Steinkauz routes your requests to providers for you.
This page describes Gateway plans for Individual (Personal) context. For organizations, see Organization plans — each billable seat gets its own budget.
What you get
- No API keys required: Start chatting as soon as you are on a Gateway plan.
- Included inference budget: Use your monthly budget for chat, tools (e.g. image generation and Gateway web search when that backend is selected), and API Access. Upgrade or switch to BYOK if you need a different cost model.
- Gateway features: Configure provider ordering, provider whitelist, and optional zero data retention in settings.
Subscribe (Individual)
Subscribe from the Steinkauz pricing page or Usage & Activity while Personal is active in the organization switcher.
Manage your subscription from Usage & Activity → Manage subscription (opens the billing portal).
Configuration
Gateway configuration — provider order, whitelist, and zero data retention — applies to your active context. In Personal context, you configure it alone. In an organization, owners and admins configure it for everyone.

Usage and limits
Your plan’s inference budget and spend appear in Usage & Activity. When your budget is exhausted, new chat and API requests are blocked until the budget renews or you upgrade.
