Organizations
Steinkauz AI customers are organizations. A tenant may have one member or many. There is no separate Individual product, personal workspace, or extra treatment for solo use.
In Steinkauz Cloud, you create or join an organization. Conversations stay private to each member by default. Policies, providers, billing, and administration are shared.
Organizations using Private Deployment receive a dedicated install instead. See Deployment options.
Active organization
You can belong to one or more organizations, but only one is active at a time. The active organization controls what you see and what you can do right now:
- Conversations, files, and shared links in the sidebar
- Plan, usage, and billing status
- Provider configuration and routing policy
- API keys and Platform API access
Use the organization switcher in the main navigation to change organization.
After switching, settings and usage pages reflect the newly active organization.

Invite colleagues when you need shared policy. You do not switch products to do that.
Who should use organizations
Everyone who uses Steinkauz AI. Organizations suit:
- A single operator who wants rules in front of their own inference accounts
- Groups that want one place for AI policies and provider configuration
- Companies where one person manages administration and others use chat or the API
