Organization billing

Checkout sells one Steinkauz Cloud entitlement at quantity 1. Adding members does not change what you pay. See Plans overview.

Organizations have their own subscription. Stripe customer and subscription sit on the organization.

How organization billing works

1. Public signup creates or joins an organization (see Create & manage an organization), or start checkout from Pricing  on the marketing site.
2. The organization owner subscribes to Steinkauz Cloud. Quantity stays 1.
3. After authentication, Stripe Checkout bills for that entitlement.
4. When the first invoice is paid, the organization activates. Members receive platform access from membership and roles. Invoice payment does not include inference.

You do not pay at organization creation alone. Subscribe when you are ready from Settings → Organizations → [organization name] → Billing in the chat app or from Pricing on the marketing site.

Who can manage billing

Only the organization owner can:

• Start a new organization subscription (Subscribe)
• Open the billing portal (Manage billing)
• Change plan or cancel through the portal

Admins and members see billing status but cannot manage payment. If you need billing changes, ask an organization owner or transfer ownership.

When you are in the organization, Usage & Activity also shows a link to manage that organization’s subscription (owners only).

Usage and invoices

• Budgets: Optional policy caps in Settings → Budgets. See Usage Budgets and Usage, costs, and activity details.
• Invoices: Managed through the billing portal. Payment receipts are emailed to the billing contact on file with Stripe.
