Steinkauz AI is a policy and evidence layer for AI operations. It applies the data-routing, provider, identity, and budget rules you define before a request reaches a model, then records what was decided and used under your retention rules.

Chat and the OpenAI-compatible API Access are adapters. You connect your own inference accounts (BYOK). Host Steinkauz AI as Steinkauz Cloud (EU-region shared SaaS), or as Private Deployment when the layer must sit inside your boundary.

A tenant is an organization. It may have one member or many. There is no separate personal product.

Steinkauz AI does not resell inference. Chat and the Platform API evaluate the same data routing policy and record exportable decision and usage evidence. Hash-chain or WORM tamper-evidence is not part of the product.

What you can do

• Connect providers you already pay for and label each with an execution environment.
• Set routing policy so sensitive work only meets environments you allow (data routing policy).
• Chat as a human adapter: pick models, send messages, attach files.
• Call the Platform API from software with OpenAI-compatible endpoints.
• Work in one organization: invite colleagues when you need them; a single member is enough.
• Review usage and configuration changes in Usage & Activity and Configuration Audit.
• Share conversations via links (see Conversation sharing).

Who this is for

Steinkauz AI is for organizations that want rules and a record in front of model egress, not another coupled chat app, and not an inference reseller. You do not need to be a developer to use chat. If you want to go deeper, use BYOK, Platform API, and routing settings.

Quick Start

Use this path for a tenant with one member or many. Signup creates or joins an organization even if you work alone.

1. Sign up or log in

Create an account or sign in at the Steinkauz AI website.

2. Confirm your organization

Go to Settings → Organizations to review the organization created at signup, rename it, or invite members by email. See Create & manage an organization. A tenant with one member uses the same product as a larger group.

3. Connect inference

In Settings → Providers, add BYOK keys for the providers you want. Set an execution environment on each connection, then configure data routing policy.

Steinkauz Cloud is one monthly organization entitlement. Private Deployment is arranged by contact . See Plans overview.

4. Start a conversation or an API key

Open chat, pick a model from the configured provider, and send a message. Owners and admins can create keys in Settings → API Keys for API Access.
